Princess Alice & the AA Man

When I ran neville_hill's superb Mold and Denbigh branchline V2 , North Wales, UK: 1950s-1960s TANE <kuid:304444:101096> with both LMS no. 6223 Coronation Class "Princess Alice" & LMS no 6204 Princess Royal Class "Princess Louise", I ended up with so many good screenshots that it was difficult to choose just one.

I chose this screenshot because of personal nostalgia! (Why not?). When I was a boy (back in the '50s & early '60s), AA Men on motor bikes were everywhere on the roads and ... wait for it ... they saluted every car with an AA badge on the front. These fellows were really, really helpful - and necessary given that cars kept breaking down, especially on hills. There was one hill that we went on to the seaside that was regularly littered with overheating cars with steam poring out of the bonnet (that a hood for you US types). Enjoy!

There were four entries I really loved, but my 2 votes go to:
dangavel for a lovely evocation of the wide open spaces
whammo for a nicely rendered, complex industrial scene.
