windows 7profecial verse windows 10

I need your help please
I just bought a new laptop with windows 10
my problem is that when I was using windows 7 and when you where
playing the game Trainz 2009 service pack4
you could press [ f 5 ] and that would close the things like
driver where you change from cab mode to free mode and so on
but in windows 10 I can not find any place where I can close those
icons because when you want to take a screenshot you do not want them on the shot

Still works in Windows 10. Check your hotkeys in settings

Laptops sometimes use the function keys for special functions (mail, web browser, multimedia, ...). The standard use of the keys is only available with pressing an additional key (FN). There might be an option (BIOS, program) to disable this behaviour.

It may be Function (fn) + F5.

Many newer laptops have the F-keys and their secondary functions swapped in the BIOS, so instead of pressing F5, you may actually be pressing the volume keys or something. Try holding Fn while pressing F5.
