Squirrel rides Boston Light Rail System

Cute.

The red line trolley would be the Mattapan "High speed Line". This is a disconnected trolley line that runs on a former New Haven branchline to Mattapan Square. The line uses old PCC trolley cars that have been refurbished. It's also one of the older conversions of former ROW to light-rail, being done in the 1920s.

But the picture shows what appears to be interior of a subway car, not a trolley car.

You're right. I didn't even notice that and I live near Boston!

There is a red line trolley line, but you're right this is definitely not. The red line its self runs from Fresh Pond in Cambridge to Braintree on the South Shore and is a subway with some of the widest and longest subway cars ever used. At this point, the line is in fact above ground and runs on a ROW that was once the New Haven Old Colony lines.
