Junction's for Mike10's yard left?

Morning all, I downloaded these junctions this morning but there is no way for me to set them to different directions.

Is there anything I can do to get them to work?

Thanks.

Hi Craig72

If recall correctly I think that those junctions exploited a bug in TRS004 to enable them to work. The bug was fixed in later versions rendering the junctions as faulty.

Try using the ones by author "andi06" instead. He produced two different versions, the second of which was for TS12 so ensure you download the correct type for whichever version of Trainz that you are using.

Hi again

You will need to use andi06's junctions instead of the ones by Mike10. They will work with any point motors.

I think I remember working with both of the assets when I first started out in Trainz, and I was fascinated with the slow motion animated points movements. They have no physical point switch machine, and have no big fat fuzzy Red/Green Trainz arrows. I think you just click on the points area, and the points animation starts. I tried lots and lots of animated turnouts, but all of them are fixed track assets, that lie on flat ground, and can not be tilted to go uphill on a gradient. I soon got tired of that aspect of having a "flat earth" route.

I have always wondered, as with GFisher's - Frog L/R, there is a black line mask that makes the appearance of a gap between the rails at the frog ... And oftentimes thought: "Why couldn't the Trainz switch machines have employed a black mask that flips to one side, and the other side, when you flip the switch machine direction, opening and closing the switch points gap" ?

To summarise: Mike10's points and fixed points that do not require "wiring up" with Andi06's junction track or invisible track will not work in TANE. Andi06's original points and others like them that need "wiring up" will work and you can use any ordinary junction lever with them. Unfortunately following his death, his website with the instructions on it no longer exists.

Wanna bet? Well it doesn't officially exist however it's on the Wayback Machine https://web.archive.org/web/20160131121932/http://www.ajsmith.x10.mx/trs/junction01.shtml and the tutorial links seem to be working.

And there is an FAQ thread on this forum here https://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?992-AJS-Junction-Kit-FAQ

Thanks Malc. I always forget the Wayback Machine. As an aside my experiments with TRS19 here #7 may be of some interest to people.
