I am looking for a new desktop pc to run TS19.
What are the min specs for TS19.
I have a max budget of £800.
Any help appreciated.

Regards Dave.

There are hundreds of posts about this. A lot of it is subjective/

My general suggestions:
I7 4 core 8 thread
PCIe 3.0
gtx 1070 graphics card
M.2 slot for SSD
8gb ddr4

Not sure wht 800 pounds is. But I think you are close to having to buy used, at least the graphics card.

I've no idea on desktops for under 800gbp. However, there are various new and refurbished gaming notebooks that appear reasonable that may accommodate to your budget.

TS19 min specs:

  • OS: Windows 7 64bit, Windows 8 64bit
  • CPU: Intel i5 3Ghz 64bit processor (or equivalent)
  • GPU: NVidia GT 430 or ATI 5550 or better, at least 1GB dedicated VRAM supporting DirectX 11
  • Memory: 4GB
  • Hard Drive: 50GB free space
  • Soundcard: DirectX-compatible

After doing some research I am looking at this PC.

Acer Orion 3000 Intel Core i5+ 8400 Processor.
Memory 8GB Ram/16GB Intel Optane.
Storage 1 TB HDD.
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB.

It is a gaming pc. Will this be sufficient for TS19.

Regards Dave.

You would be better off with an i7 with hyperthreading.
However, I used an I5 at 3.7 gc and a 1050 ti until recently. It worked ok, but you need low settings in TS19, and there can be some stuttering.

Yes. TRS19 will run quite well on that rig, with acceptable frame-rates, albeit with lower to mid-range performance, draw distance and visual quality settings.
Even so, these would compare favourably with TS12 visual quality and performance even at maxed-out TS12 settings.

If you could push your budget to afford the GTX 1660 Ti card (about £260), I think that could make a difference.

Brilliant! That will perform very well. The 1080Ti is a superb GPU.
