Rebuild TRS19 Database Log. Unusual Errors Displayed

I originally installed on C: Drive, then copied over to D: Drive, rebuilt the Database and deleted all the files in NV3 Games Dir on C: with the exception of the Re-locator file, which as correct points TRS19 to the D: drive. So I initially made "REBUILD DATABASE" repairs as I added groups of Old Assets.......All of sudden yesterday these errors showed up.......:'(

Can one of you learned folks take a peek and explain what I might do to correct this.......Short of doing a whole new installation.......Oh and I don't have any other versions of Trainz installed on Brand New Computer.

 I'm a Neophyte to TRS19 having migrated up from TANE on old Laptop.

You've put my mind to rest........You know how it is when you change to a New Computer, and add in Brand new Programs as well.:)

Just revisiting here, I wiped out TRS19 completely on C: and D Drives, after realizing I deleted some wrong files on the C: Drive in original installation.......I'm learning by experience.

So I did a fresh install on C: then re pointed the LOCAL Asset Directory D:Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019, and the Assets are now installing to D: drive, because it is 1 Terabyte, versus C: (SSD) @ 256 size with 115 Gigs used up by Win and other Programs.

Everything is working well so far after the large downloads from NV3 servers to complete the TRS19 final installation.

If you look at this second scan, on Database rebuild, it still can't get the precached Data? and it shows a duplicate location of same Kuid? Which is really odd, how would one come up with Dupe Kuid, or is this a situation that is might be in both C: & D drives......Does anyone have an Idea on how I go about finding the Rogue Kuid and deleting the Dupe one?

As you can see it took 4012 Seconds to due the Database Build, to me, from what I saw on TANE rebuilds, that is a bit excessive!

If I find out anything else relevant, I'll add to this post...........

Blue,

Ignore the PreCache data. This has to do with versioning on the DLC server versus what you have installed and there is nothing wrong with your installation.

 Good Morning John,

Appreciate the Reply and your valued input,,,,,Last night after doing some more work, nothing major, just fixing some problems with Asset-X installation, I did a database rebuild, and this time, it took 40,012 seconds to due the rebuild, so hopefully in the Future, it will self correct itself.......I got so tired waiting for it to Rebuild, I just went to bed at 2:00 AM and looked at this morning..........Was aghast at the amount of time it took to do a Rebuild........It shows -3:10004, which is Auran Base Build in, Water Commodity, in 2 places on my Hard Drive......Seems very unhappy with that on the Rebuild Process, if I could fix that, maybe things would go better on time needed to rebuild usually it is 2-3 mins to rebuild for me.......So I suppose based on your info, I let it go, and see if what happens..........Crazy Huh?

2nd update:1200 Noon Thursday

John I just got a Brain Flash, on old Laptop, it was SSD for Drive, my D Drive is not SSD, and probably the usual 4200RPM not 7200,,,,,,,,That's why the Rebuild is so slow.........You ca n hear it working really hard right now as I do another Rebuild to see if there is any discerned difference of Seconds from last night?

And of course TRS19 is a new Animal, so it doesn't run the same as TANE.

I didn't think of the obvious.....Later on if I can, I will cut out old SSD Samsung One Tera and switch out this one, if this ROG Computer Supports 2 SSD units....I don't know, but at least it has a back panel that opens to change or repair the Drives.....

I feel like such a Goof,, for not realizing this..............Oh well, all I can do is laugh out loud and march on................:hehe:

:D After gaining some info from other learned Asset-X users last might, I plan on doing a reinstall of Asset-Into a Dedicated Folder like D:pEVSoft instead of the default one its in App Data...........

@ PEV indicated "I have more success with the tools, including AssetX, located in C:\PEVSoft (or D:\PEVSoft or E:\PEVSoft) folder rather than the program files area.
You can change the target folder during the install process."

Cheers.

Nah no goof here so don't be so hard on yourself. This is all a learning experience for everyone and has been for years, which is why I like using Trainz in general. There isn't a day that hasn't gone by without me learning something about something either while using the program, or viewing posts here in the forums.

Speaking of the -3:10004 assets, I've seen that one come up multiple times in my rebuilds as well. It must be referenced in the various packages or something. I'm guessing the program fixes this internally.

I've used AssetX in the past, but not very often. I'll have to see what PEV has added to it as it's quite powerful and quite dangerous too as I've found out the hard way.

Your slower drive could very well be the case of the extra slow DBR, but it does run a bit slower in TRS19 than it did in T:ANE, but not as wickedly bad as TS12 was. The EDR will definitely take much, much longer than a regular one. If I see things going on that take too long, that I usually start doing before I go to bed for some reason, I'll let them run overnight rather than me poking at them and interrupting the process!

The laptop probably has either a side slot for your hard disk, or it's mounted via an access panel located on the bottom. There are usually screws holding in the drives, and sometimes the covers are attached to the drive holder that the drive screws into like the old Quasar TVs with the works in the draw. I'm not sure exactly if this is how your laptop is setup, and this is based on past experience with Lenovo and Dell units I used to support.

ASUS Model #GL703GE is model I'm using.......

;) Thanks John ,,,,

That's really good to know about the slower DBR repair, as for my ASUS SCAR,,

The entry panel is on the back, in fact, it is a Triangle Plat held on by Rubber and one Set Screw.......Don't have time at the moment to open it, hopefully in the next week, I plan too, if I can get caught up on other items.

:( Whats bothering me about the Specs on this unit, they show what it can come with, but for some reason, they don't say what the max is for like Memory, HD and Type, at least what I'm seeing. Maybe it is a DON'T CONFUSE ME WITH THE DETAILS" situation these days, but years ago, if memory serves correct, they used to say what it has, and what the max was any size modeler add-on, be it GPU, CHIP, HD or RAM etc.........So when one went shopping you knew exactly what you had, and what alterations you make if that was in fact the model you liked..........

Oh one thing, when it does a DBR run, I make it point to not interrupt it, I have done that in the past to great regrets later as TANE would be one upset program when I did it.
