Has gramma returned?

Just asking but are these legit, they showed up today.

So I download a couple of his of his to have a look, uploaded on the 23rd, Dave you might want to take a look at these as they have your license.

So looking like he is at it again, is he really that dense?

Most of those Amtrak uploads are of July 2018 or earlier, so I assume PerRock would have figure out those by now.

He probably does understand but just does not care. 15 is certainly old enough to understand the difference between right and wrong. Even if he believes that copyright should not exist on digital works he would understand that he is ethically wrong here.

If he believes that copyright should not exist on digital works he would believe that he is entitled to copy what he wants.

True, but he would be aware, as I am certain that he would have been "told", that according to the laws that exist he is in the wrong even if he disagrees with those laws.

But regardless of the finer details, he represents a problem that has always been with us but has been made worse by the technology we all now rely upon. The solution? DRM, encryption, etc? These tend to disadvantage the honest users, like locks on doors are designed to keep the honest people out. Naming and shaming (after evidence of course - not like that poor couple in the UK over the Gatwick drones) only works with some.
 
He has released a couple (or maybe more) of my assets without permission. So what do we do now?

Shall I contact my lawyers tomorrow?

Contact N3V helpdesk and they will remove them and hopefully deal with him properly this time, they removed some illegal clones of mine a while back.
 
I've seen those stolen Amtrak Trainz Group P42's on the DLS today and it's just another attack from "TheMinecraft Conrail" (Gramma's YouTube channel name). I'm very sorry to hear that Dave and I just hope something prevents Gramma from keep doing these illegal uploads.

That maybe the case, but looked what happened to two people regarding the alleged drone incident(s).

IF he has (& seems to be confirmed by JR), then contact him (or her) and let them know that copying is illegal. And ask for the company to ban his name.

I thought you're meant to be over 16 or 18 to be on these forums & to use the DLS?
 
Seems that no matter 15 or 50, a person who wants to make illegal uploads, can do so, on the automatous DLS ... seems they get great thrill of uploading illegal stuff, and peeing people off, just for the fun of it ... all you can do is deal with this ... I take it that his work is not of any good quality ?

Basically, although other more complex motives can be at play here - such as the gratification at "creating" something that other are downloading and using, bragging rights ("look how many downloads I have got"), etc.

The danger here is in how N3V and the community react to this. Do we impose restrictions on uploads and risk killing off the support base? Do we pass all uploads through a complex and time consuming human based vetting process (and who will pay for that? - not to mention the indefinite delay before uploads appear on the DLS). These and other "solutions" have been proposed before but all have been, thankfully, rejected.

I feel that what we are doing now - watching, reporting, verifying and, when necessary, deleting - is the best solution. If necessary, repeat offenders are banned from uploading for a set period (which may be on a sliding scale) but that of course will not stop them uploading to 3rd party web sites.

My opinions only.
 
Gramma actually has a YT account called TheMinecraftConrail, which one of my friends did a video on. All I ever saw TMCR do frequently is grounded videos out a very atrocious drawing of what is supposed to be Bill Vu

In this case it is the third time? he has cloned stuff and he has had assets removed previously, quite a lot of them and presumably would have been told why, so doesn't really have any excuse when it's clear from the config / license they are copies.

No evidence but I would suspect that he has suddenly started again as his last ban has expired.
 
Apparently nobody (and that includes JR) has send a request to the Helpdesk claiming Gramma did the upload illegally, so the content stays on the DLS.

If you are the original creator of any of the content Gramma has uploaded and he did not have your permission, please contact the Helpdesk immediately (as N3V is not going to take any action based on just a reply to this topic). If you already did so, please bump your ticket as currently N3V has the opinion no new content has been illegally uploaded (since the last time he has received a temporary ban).
