If you're running an nVidia card then the nVidia software works well.

There are others such as,

Bandicam,
FRAPS,
TinyTake.

OBS is also worth a look as well - it may have a bit of a learning curve though.

I've just seen this thread. If you've got Windows 10 why not just use the games bar (Windows key+G) to record your video. Once you've set up it to recognise Trainz as a game you can record very simply in MP4 format. You will find information in Settings/Gaming and there is a link at the bottom to a Microsoft help page.
