What kind of Caboose is this?

Yes, the type is known as a "drover's caboose," often being used on trains of stock cars to transport the cow pokes who loaded and unloaded the cars. Note: Cow Poke is a different trade than Cow Boy, and of lower social status.

Of course, the type would likely be useful for mixed-train service where passengers were far and few between, as well. Mr. Weston's description covers both, eh?

I got one of those little Drovers on my route and I really like the little guy he's very unusual and since I still do cattle it works great I let the cowpokes do the heavy lifting for me when I got a couple of cars full of cattle headed for the market if you know what I mean.
