how to get hold of maker of GP20's

Who is the maker of the GP20's on the DLS? it says it is Sandy Gervais, but that is not a user name. Any one know is user name or if it is somebody else that made them, and how to get in connect with him? Thanks.

Try checking the licence in the config.

The registered user name is available as a column in Content Manager when the asset is listed. That is what you need for a PM.

None of them are by him on the DLS, all of them are reskins that say the mesh is by Sandy Gervais. That was a good idea though.


His username may be sandman2, pm sent his way.

If you mean 'Who originally created the meshes used in these assets' then that's a different question.

If you open the asset and then examine the mesh (.im) files using a hex editor you will see a filename for the images. This file name is something like
"D:\Program Files\Auran\TRS2004\meshes\CP8830\body\…"

That tells you that the mesh was originally created for a '8830' unit. You can then use that part of the description to look up the original asset. Sometimes there will be several possibilities - you have to look at each to find where the mesh is an exact match for file size and contents.
