Open Pit Mining Large Excavator

Hello all,

I've been looking for a Large Hydraulic electric Mining Excavator for my open pit mine, similar in sizing to the Dragline Big Muskie<kuid2:129654:21100:2> by lostcause, not that record setting, but able to be seen in the bottom of the pit! A Komatsu PC-8000 or something comparable.

Thanks,

Stewart

Now I know I'm a little late, but . . .

When I saw this thread, something sentimental came to mind. I grew up building stuff with my LEGOs, and I was lookin at what they were selling on their website not that long ago, and I came across this model of mining equipment. I immediately was impressed with it and I thought 'I wish I had that when I was a kid'. Also, I still regret putting my LEGO submarine into the bathtub and having water getting into the pneumatic system that opened and closed the claw on the front of it, which resulted in it no longer working. Also, I did this when I was six or seven years old. And if you're trying to picture me doing that in your mind, I was not taking a bath at that time, I just filled the bathtub with water and put it in there.

I've recently gotten back into building LEGOs, but it wasn't to build the 'normal' LEGOs, but a line designed to be built and then displayed somewhere, such as on a shelf of a room. Barnes and Noble, a bookstore, sells not just books, but also games, toys, and coffee. These toys are not designed to be played with, but to be built and displayed somewhere. The LEGO series they sell is called LEGO Architecture. This line of LEGOs are models of various buildings from across the world. THIS IS NOT DESIGNED FOR KIDS. Take note that these are very expensive. The model that caught my attention was a model of Flank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater. Here's a few pictures of it:

P.S. To show that you aren't limited to boxy buildings with LEGOs take a look at the LEGO model of The Eiffel Tower and these other models:
