Unusual locomotive found on 'net

Hey Dave,

I built a NW5 for trainz a few years ago, as I'm some Aussie guy I got stuck on it as I couldn't get the research I needed, as you are a Trainz Modeller youself do you want a copy of the 3ds max meshes?

I only knew of Southern, Great Northern and Burlington Northern RailRoads from photos in the 40's and 50's and thought it was interesting as really wanted to build one for trainz.

Sorry, I don't have 3ds Max. I only model in Gmax.

I did some searching, and I've got a few suggestions on dependencies:
diecastgalore uses his 'empire_builder_hornsound' <kuid2:78865:54358:2> on his Great Northern EMD F3
Kon1786 uses trw1089's 'Leslie RS3K' <kuid2:126323:54012:2> on Kon1786's 'Great Northern RS3 229' and 'Great Northern RS3 222 w'

The NW5 used Blomberg B type trucks, bogies for you, painted black. Here's some suggestions on what trucks to use:
davidakridge 'Blomberg B type bogey black (re-skinned), <kuid:57874:100041>
vulcan created 'Blomberg B Bogey Black', <kuid2:60238:50028:1>

The NW5's engine was a 12-567A, which is a 12-cylinder version of the 567A. However, there is not an enginesound for a 12-567A. The closest you can get is:
tommylommykins 'EMD 567C enginesound', <kuid:224131:100003>
Trainman10 'EMD 16-567C Diesel Engine sound', <kuid:373941:100722>
vulcan 'EMD 16-567C enginesounds', <kuid:104722:53567>

The NW5 was EMD's version of Alco's RS-1, so any cab used by an RS-1 will do.

If you want to add the ARN (Automatic Running Number) feature to the Great Northern NW5, they were numbered 186 to 195.

On the subject of unusual locos, here's the PRR A1. I stumbled upon it while doing some PRR steam research, and thought it was unusual.

Also, was this Amtrak GP9 a passenger unit? If not, why would it be in the passenger scheme?
