Even though the wind's wailing like banshee and it being a gullywasher (a southern term for a heavy downpour), the railroad hasn't shut down. As everyone else is taking shelter form this storm, a railfan runs to the tracks, being barraged by the rain and wind, to catch Nickel Plate 765, disguised as Chesapeake & Ohio 2765, hauling a CSX employee appreciation special thru the mountains of Kentucky, whose whistle has been echoing off the surrounding mountains. The crew is having a hard time trying to see thru this wall of rain, so they're heading about ten miles per hour while the speed limit is twenty miles per hour.
