Thought it would be nice to add a small town gas station....still need to detail the back of it and add some cars



Might add a small garage...



So that's the current state...getting closer to completion...need to finish the Purina grain silo details and start working on replacing the warehouse district at Freedom Yard with some mega grain silos and add a small loco facility
 
Farm update: As mentioned previously I decided to add some rollup doors to the farm facility and a loading dock



Not only regular deliveries and pick ups can be made now but tractors now have a door just the right size for them.

Purina grain silo update: I had added a small hill to break the flatness of the area and textured it now along with adding some trees, also added a grain discharge spout for truck loading on the front end above the overhead door.



Added some grain trailers and fenced in some of the area:

Above: Last section is pretty much completed so with out further delay welcome to the farming module part of Pioneer "X"



Above: And as mentioned earlier, Paradise diner has relocated and is now a major truck stop on the grain highway.

Below are some shots of the major sections for Pioneer "X"... Two small towns bring this rural layout to life:



Although fictional, this layout has tons of operational possibilities and can easily be converted to "industry" working if so desired.



Grain is the name of the game...grain elevators, storage silos, feed mills, warehouse, processing plant all come together and make great for proto ops.



Functioning signals and ATLS crossings make this layout come to life



Will be making slight adjustments here and there but the buildings and towns are done....just need to detail some areas a little more and hopefully I can release it.

Finishing touches... decided to extend the highway by the Purina grain elevator. Last time it had construction going on.



Took some time to get it configured but I think it came out decent.



Next added some details to Paradise Diner



Also found a new loading/unloading ramp perfect for the John Deere tractors to fit on..



Very close now to completing it.

Now you need a 42 mile long RGCX train rolling through that urban inner city, train watching from a cab view, on invisatrack ... Looks super detailed and realistic :cool:

If you lay a complex pattern of BNSF50 invisatrack over top of your roads, you can drive a driveable car, or a person, that as a cab view about your town, and get a way down low realistic view


I took your suggestion and made a short vid of driving up and back down main street...vid will be up soon
 
As mentioned above, here is a short video of a drive down main street using a Hi-Rail. You can now view the details from a different perspective. Buildings mostly by JointedRail and details from DLS including people, cars, signs, etc....something I decided to do on a whim just for kicks as suggested by cascaderailroad. :D

Switched out some semis and added some to fit the theme.....

Below: Always liked seeing heavy equipment on the move so decided to add a low riding flatbed with an excavator on top

 


Heavy equipment... I decided I was missing some escorts for my heavy equipment loads. I started to play around with the PW pickup truck and reskin it in a yellow paint scheme and add those flashing lights. Below are the results which came out pretty good.





And below is the scene they are now in leading to the highway construction. Heavy equipment delivery in progress:

I don't know really how I came across this asset but I love the animation and detail. Watch the background after the train passes by the crossing. The warehouse scene comes to life. Towards the end you can see the driver shifting the gears of the forklift.

It is a serious safety violation for a forklift to carry and drive a load more than 6" off the ground, in case the forklift would tip over frontwards
 
I love the fact that you removed the smoke from the locs to be more realistic :Y:
