New build, new questions, and new problems

I am back after a few years, and with a new (to me) build, and some thoughts.
Current system (for reference) with issues:

Installed Trainz2010 and added Murchison 2

Problem: Trainz Installer messaging: getting some weird answers?

Murchison Problem: AU The stock run Pt2
After leaving Lake Summer, a rouge train ( ? as driver) appears head-on.:hehe: I think it came down from Nasby.


Asset problem:
Why are some listed assets not shown in Surveyor. I was building an NG layout, and could not add specific asset (1800's rebel soldiers).
I did perform the Extended Database thing. OK, enough for this first QA session.

Win 10 needs DirectX9c, MS in their infinite wisdom omitted a few files from DX10,11 and 12 so even if 2010 does run it will be very slow and jerky.


Need to use the July 2010 DX redistributable download from Microsoft > https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

The incorrect video memory, simple over 4GB cards didn't exist in 2010 so the check would not have been coded to recognise it or newer drivers, I'd ignore it.

Should work OK with the right DirectX

2009, 2010 will run OK here with DX9 on Win10 leastwise they did when I checked a while ago.

Murchison 2, long time ago but pretty sure there was a patch required for running DLC. Try this page, scroll down for 2010 patches etc http://www.auran.com/servicepacks/

I already have the update patches installed.
Still trying to figure out how in Surveyor to call-up those assets to add them to an edited or created template.

Did you install Murchison 2 using the .ja file install method? If so, you can clone that "AU The stock run Pt2" session and then edit the clone...

Have you had any problems with the other 28 M2 sessions?
