"The Christmas Train" movie

I watched "The Christmas Train" movie and I'm not sure if the train is real. I think they use different cars for inside and outside views. The outside views show stainless steel cars, some with domes on roofs. The inside views show interiors from older cars. The train was pulled by GE P42 locomotives but the inside view of the cab shows windshields from EMD E & F locomotives.

It is just a movie, they do whatever they can and try to keep it on budget. The original Fast & Furious movie also has a blooper. The scene where the two cars beat the train, look at the numbers on locomotive during that entire scene. You will see it backwards a lot of times.
