Well that's one way to ruin the Christmas Spirit.

"CALDWELL, Idaho — It's a good thing city workers in Caldwell got to decorating for Christmas well ahead of time — they have enough good weather to take the lights down before winter after a safety warning from Union Pacific.

The Idaho Press reports that city officials will have to remove Christmas lights along several streets where they were within 25 feet of UP's tracks in town. The city will also have to remove a decorative fence and concrete that are within the safety zone.

The newspaper cites a railroad representative assuring residents that the city's historic depot will remain untouched."
