The manufacture of the Windows Phone has been dead for almost a year and Microsoft's co-founder Bill Gates has like many decided it’s also time he moved on. In an interview with Fox News Microsoft's founder reveals he’s now using an Android phone. While Gates did not reveal the exact model he is using, he does note that it has “a lot of Microsoft software” on it. The foregoing could suggest it’s a special version known as the Microsoft Enabled Samsung Galaxy S8 with bundled Redmond originated software.

Microsoft started selling the Samsung Galaxy S8 handset in its US retail stores earlier this year, and it includes apps like Office, OneDrive, Cortana, and Outlook. Many other Android phones also support those apps, but Microsoft’s customized S8 does suggest that Google are encouraging Samsung, Huawei Sony and other manufacturers to offer this customisation on other Android tablets and phones in the future.

The above brings to mind how time can drastically change any situation. In 2002 prior to the flotation of Google on the stock market, Microsoft offered Larry Page and Sergey Brin the original developers of the then fledgling Google search engine that it could be Incorporated into the huge Windows operating system. Fithteen years later Google is offering to incorporate Microsoft software into the now giant Android and Chrome Operating systems.

How the world turns.
Bill
