Greetings.

This week we pay respects to not just September 11 but also our past struggles, tragedies and the stark reminder how fragile and precious life is. This week's theme is Memorial. Please send your theme suggestions for subsequent competitions via email or Skype by clicking on the little icons below my username.

One screenshot allowed per entrant. Screenshots must adhere to the theme and the Trainz Forum Code of Conduct.

Submission closes on September 17 at 12:00 noon UTC/GMT/Zulu time.

Cheerio,
Nicholas

It was not an easy life now, but once a year the steam trains brought the people from all over the land to gather at the car park of the old, unusable iconic stadium that had hosted rugby games and where bands once performed.

The people came to celebrate their life, be thankful for what they had, and to remember the people and the times that were now gone for good. Although the people were sad and paid their respects during the speeches, they later danced, laughed, swapped what they had learned during the year as well as telling crazy stories of their experiences, adventures, and hardships of their current times.

p.s Is quite a tricky theme this time. If this screenshot does not fit the theme correctly, please remove. Thanks :)

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

The people of Australia have always remembered those men and women, who paid the ultimate price in giving their lives in all wars, in order that we could live in freedom. In addition, we remember our allies who came to support us when we needed it.

Every year on ANZAC Day, people gather at war memorials throughout the country to pay their respects.

Lest We Forget.

My screenshot is of the Australian War Memorial in Hyde Park, Sydney. The closest railway station happens to be St James, which is directly below in the underground City Circle.
