No, that was not the problem.
Only the reskinned challenger by EvilCrow had that line in the config.
I started a route, all trains start running there schedule, tracksounds are correct.
I go to rollingstock icon, chose that same challenger, put it on a piece of track, no matter where and poof, all the tracksounds are dead.
All I hear is that broken electric crack sound.
The sounds are there, left to right, front to back, but they are all broke.
For info,
I had this too on my old computer.
I thought my onboard soundcard died.
I placed a new 5.1 soundcard.
Same cracks.
I even bought a new 5.1 soundsystem.
Same cracks.
Now I have for a year a new machine (see signature)
Same cracks.
GRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr ^%$@#&^%*
I always thought it was a TANE problem and hoped it would be solved in future.
But after all the updates it's still the same.
When the anl stuff became free I was a lot busy to play with them.
While doing that, I suddenly discovered the cause of the problem.
No Challengers or FEF's on track, NO sound problem.
Jippie, jippie, I found the cause.
But I can't find the solution.
Like said above, as soon as I put one of those locs on the route, in a split second the tracksounds are broke.
I can only repair the sounds by removing the locs and restart the game.
Very very annoying this.
I like the big steamers, I want them on track, but only if this problem is solved.
So I'm in need of a Trainz-Goeroe,
