Is there a way to contact Yukonzoom?

Hi.:wave: Most of you know may that yukonzoom made an updated version of zapperjet's Cass Shay #5.
So, I was wondering if i could release my reskins of yukonzooms's updated shay.
BUT, I have NO idea whether i can release them or not nor do i have or know
how to get his permission.

So i ask, is there a way to contact yukonzoom?:eek:

In case you are wondering, i made 2 reskins of Shay #5 and made Shays #2 and #11 out of them. (I am also making Shay #4 and #7.)
Features Include, A B&O 3-chime and Pacific Coast cab lettering for Shay #2 and a Lunkenheimer 3-chime for Shay #11 aswell as
an alternate version with gold lining on the cab (also applies for my Shay #4)

They look a bit dark / black, but I think I have my laptop screen to blame for that.

May I suggest to press F5 before you make the screenshot? That removes all side bars (if I did not mixup the button for it).

I tried that HOURS ago and i havent gotten a response. Oh, and it says he hasnt been active since
January 10th, 2017.

He has not replied hours after you send him a PM? And you are surprised?
Some people have a life, others are simply sleeping (as this is an international forum with people from all over the world). This is still a hobby.
It might take days, weeks or even months before he/she replies. Or maybe you will never get a reply. Get used to the idea.

If he does not reply, you simply are not able to get permission to release them. Easy as that. That is the main risk of re-skinning.

It can take awhile sometimes, however you could try looking in the config.txt files of said engine and see if it includes another means to contact the creator (e.g. email address), sometimes people can miss PM's so just wait a bit. As oknotsen has pointed out people do have lives outside of Trainz, we can't expect them to immediately respond to us, and grant our requests right away, that is not required of them.

2. I checked the config file for yukonzoom's Shay. Guess what?
There is no info info involving reskins.
And no. I did not remove it. Don't Believe me? See it for yourself.

None taken, I believe you. If the license tag and/or description does not specify what you can and can't do regarding re-skinning, that generally means that you can re-skin for personal use, but you still must obtain express permission from the original creator if you wish to make the re-skins available for the public (depending on country but usually this is the case). If you can't contact Yukonzoom, you could try asking someone who knows him, PerRock is very active on the forums and he has asked permission to release re-skins of Yukonzoom's content before, perhaps you can forward your message by asking him.

Have you seen the EULA in Yukonzoom's website? He said everyone already have permission to reskin his contents but require to credit him for his 3D meshes.
And ZapperJet also let everyone modified his contents you probably read before.

So I guess you already have permission to release your reskin. :)
