Sessions for Coal Country

All, I've built and uploaded three sessions for the Coal Country route. The sessions were built with T:ANE Build 88348.

The sessions are:

<kuid:417385:100782> JR-Coal Country: Session 1 Richmond to Parker Run w/Empty Logracks
<kuid:417385:100783> JR-Coal Country: Session 2 Parker Switching
<kuid:417385:100784> JR-Coal Country: Session 3 Parker to Richmond

The Content Manager says that they've been upload (I uploaded and approved all three yesterday) so I believe they are available.

I got an email from N3V saying that the following assets are not on the Download Station which, if I'm not mistaken, they shouldn't be since they are probably all payware.

Dependencies:
22alpha (avfreelance@yahoo.com):

scratchy:

Anyway, the sessions are a series where empty logracks are taken from Richmond down to Parker and then loads back the other direction with a switching session in Parker. There are some great spots for screenshots all along the route and I took a bunch and tried to firgure out which one to have for the session picture (it was hard).

Oh, yeah, I could never get the horn to work on the RPPX GP9 chop nose: <kuid:506034:250689> RPPX GP9 chop nose
I looked at the dependencies and nothing looked wrong so I don't know what's going on.

Anyway, now I need to look at LotBN V.2 and see what I can come up with for sessions.

Have fun.

Thanks,

I have only 4 missing:

<kuid2:178126:100256:3>
<kuid2:178126:100257:3>
<kuid:-3:9910149>
<kuid:-3:9910209>

☼ ? ☼

<kuid:-3:9910149> Navigate To Trackmark Ex
<kuid:-3:9910209> Navigate Via Trackmark Ex

Both are listed as payware

<kuid:-3:9910149> Navigate To Trackmark Ex
<kuid:-3:9910209> Navigate Via Trackmark Ex

I just check all three sessions and they are not used any any of them. I add these Driver Commands, not knowing they were payware, in the expectation of eventually using them but ended up not using them. Oops. Just found out something I need to check before uploading.

Take care,

Thank you BobbyB for the Gondolas link :)

I don't want to buy new stuff if it's only for those two Driver Commands.
Seems to be it runs well enough without the navigate ex kuids.

But I don't want red lines in my Tane.
I'll see what happens when I do: "Delete missing kuids"

EDIT:
Hmmmz... that does not work, MUST save a new route and session.

I ran the first session and didn't notice any problem because of the missing kuids.
10-4, Colin. I used a non-modified JR Coal Route and tried to just use the cars that were included in the session provided with the route to make my sessions knowing full well that there would be issues with payware and such if I went to far afield trying to populate the route. And since I was going to use an AI driver, I added some Driver Commands to the sessions as those included originally would have severely limit the AI Drivers commands (no Schedule Library, Copy Command, etc.).

Anyway, so much for trying the simple route.

Richard, If you will edit the session, click on "Edit Session Rules", hilight the Driver Command Rule, click edit and then uncheck the offending Driver Commands, save the Driver Command Rule (click check mark), save the "Edit Session Rules" (click check mark), then save the Session you should then be good to go to get rid of red lines. (You probably already know all this but I wanted to be explicit on the editing process so that someone reading this that doesn't know the process might be able to do it themselves.) You might want to save the new session (to you) with a new name because if questions come up we'll know that the session is not "as uploaded".

As I said in the notes on the Hinton route sessions I uploaded, change engines if you want. And, of course, change anything you would like with the sessions as I won't be offended in the least if you or anyone else does. (Ha! I would matter whatsoever if was offended!)

And as far as the route goes, I did absolutely nothing to the route (wanted to!, but didn't) so the only thing you should have a problem with is the sessions and in your case the Driver Commands.

Take care,

The easiest way to get rid of the missing kuids is to edit the config. You can then carry on using the session without having save the session under a new name etc.

Jup, that's what I did.

Just removed the 2 lines in the config.txt.

Thanks

And ofcourse, also

DWBennett55's way works fine too.

Since I got no bites on my no horn sound from the chop nose GP9 the first time, I'll repeat it here. I put the loco on my test route and the high nose had the horn sound but the chop nose was silent.

The engine is:<kuid:506034:250689> RPPX GP9 chop nose

Again, I have no errors on with the engine so I don't know what's going on.

Thanks,

Hi Don

I put those two locomotives on my test track and both horns are sounding. They do sound quit different. So after a little more exploring I found the two locos use different horns.
<kuid:506034:250689> RPPX GP9 chop nose
hornsound <kuid2:37581:1184:2>

<kuid:506034:809673> RPPX GP9 high
hornsound <kuid2:37581:1238:1>

These two hornsounds are
<kuid2:37581:1184:5> Leslie S3L #5
<kuid2:37581:1238:3> Leslie RS3L

You mite notice the KUID version numbers are different. This brings up an interesting question. In TS12 there was an easy way to see if you had out of date items installed. I've never found that feature in tane and have setup several filters to do the same. But back to your question it would be worth while to check your install to see what version of the Leslie S3L #5 you have installed. Mine shows installed from DLS so it would be an easy update.

Hope this helps
Bob
