C&O GP9 Locomotives

Did the C&O buy the EMD GP9's configured with the short end or the long end as forward? From what I can find of pictures they seem to have the short end forward.

I'm designing some sessions for the C&O Hinton Division and want to get the configuration of the loco sets correct.

Thanks.

Ok, from another post on the 3rd party partners JR forum (thanks to rcwarner1953 !), I was directed to pictures of C&O GP9's which show an "F" near the steps on the short end of the loco. The "F" signifies the forward end.

Question answered.
