No luck. When I try to use the Control Manager of T:ANE with the filter set to
'genesteal' it shows the asset cab27000. But if I try to download the same it
tries for some time and then the connection gets interrupted.
If I go to DLS and try the asset is not shown there. With the user name set to
'genesteal' it shows a number of assets including many other 'cab......' files but
not the cab27000.
Can some one suggest a solution for this please ?

Try downloading manually by logging into the DLS via the web link above. I recommend opening up the DLS webpage in a separate window as it helps staying here as well as the DLS.
Once there and signed in, search for the asset and click all the versions on the left.
View the asset details, and choose FTP download, which will give you a CDP file which you can install manually.
