Freezing rain presents a challenge

I think they were proceeding at a slow rate in case of majorly large downed trees ... I could go for some freezing rain right aboutsk' now

Yup. Freezing rain is a common thing here in the northeast. The other issues not shown in the video is the rails and switches get coated with this stuff, which can cause traction problems for the trains, as well as trees breaking and taking out power and communications. We had that issue in early 2009 with an ice storm which left me homebound for 3 days because I was stuck at the bottom of my driveway.

The Central Massachusetts, Upper State New York, and a good swath of New Hampshire were particularly hit hard. Some people went without power for up to 5 days. In my city we were lucky, it was only 2 days in some areas while for us it was 12 hours.

This is definitely nasty stuff, worse than snow or rain, not something I look forward to in the winter.
