It's just a scratch . . .

These people are lucky.

I'm surprised no one on the train got off and helped get the car off the track.

. . . like this guy.

Ya think...

But he only had one beer that day!

Like you hear on Cops or Live PD.

The first video with the car getting stuck on the tracks... He was probably hammered as well unless he was stupid enough to take what his GPS said literally like the guy that got stuck on MN railroad tracks and shorted out everything on the third-rail.

Trucks getting stuck

It's amazing how tight the trucks are. It's like they're 1/8 inch too tall and mostly peel the top off.

The bridge shown at 2:28 or so is in Westwood, MA. It too catches a lot of trucks off guard and exists on the former Boston and Albany mainline between the namesake cities.

Here's an example not so far away from where I live. Most trucks take Interstate 75, which is the route people take between Atlanta and Chattanooga. This underpass is on U.S. Highway 41, which was the original route people take between Atlanta and Chattanooga. There are signs that are marked 'Truck Route' for trucks to take to go around this bridge. You can obviously see a sign marked 11' 7" (11 Foot 7 Inches) between the two flashing lights. The tracks are CSX's old Western and Atlantic mainline between Atlanta and Chattanooga.

Here's the intersection where trucks turn to go around the bridge. This road heads north and parallels the CSX mainline for a for a few miles north of Ringgold.

The road that the dump truck is turning onto that also crosses the railroad track is the truck route across the tracks.

Now we're across the state line in Tennessee. This is the same road that intersects with Highway 41 in Ringgold and is part of the truck route in Ringgold. This intersection is with East Brainerd Road. By turning to the left will take you to an interchange with Interstate 75.

I'll take a look at the images.

Yeah in Westwood there's a truck route also marked, but the drivers insist on going under the bridge and getting stuck. I wonder if they can read, or bother to read the signs. Maybe they're like AI drivers who are looking for the short cut to the track mark on the other side of the bridge.

What happens when to combine, A) truck is too tall for the bridge. B) Signs posted clearly that this bridge is not to be used by trucks, and C) Your truck is many, many tons over the weight limit?

Yes I know trains are not exactly involved in this, but I don't think you can have a conversation about dumb truck drivers and bridges without at least mentioning this one.

That scene made me frown. Surely the train driver could see the blinking car while he was pressing the train horn??
