Something dredged up from the past.

Way back in history I was having problems with textures. After I had applied a ground texture, I lost the grid, which made contour adjustments difficult, as the 'grab' points are no longer visible. This led to me making a texture that reapplied the grid and also allowed the contours to be seen better than they can be seen with the original grid. Note the contouring in the screenshot.

It is a simple ground texture, applied with direction accurately set to due North and scale set to minimum. The red dots automatically align with the grid intersections, and the smaller grid is 1x1 metres.

Note, this does not replace the function of the original grid, and if it is applied at any other scale or direction, it no longer works as a guide to the original grid points. Provided that the settings are correct it can be re-applied over existing textures.

However, it can be rotated and re-scaled to provide alignments for roads, track or buildings to 1 metre accuracy.

It is called 'Helper Grid 10' and is on the DLS as <kuid:44700:11991>
