I have lately been considering upgrading from my R9-270x video card to something a little more capable. I run Trainz 12, TANE, Open Rails, and Train Simulator 2017. I also plan to purchase Train Sim World. With my current setup, I can usually run Trainz with a draw distance of 2000-4000 meters and other settings on "normal" or "high" and get frame rates that drop down to the high teens at the lowest.
Could anybody give me any advice on what suitable upgrade options to my current system there may be? My ideal gaming performance is somewhat steady frame rates in the 30+ range with high settings. I have listed my current specs below...
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit)
AMD FX-8320 processor @ 3.5 GHz
AMD R9-270x graphics card w / 2 GB memory
8 GB RAM
