What is this track?

Hello everyone, I know that I made a similar thread to this one, but now that I've found one thing that I was looking for, I wanted to ask a different question- What are these tracks?

hqdefault.jpg

This is a shot from TS2006, but I think these tracks were in TS2009 as well. I have no idea what their KUID is, but I want to use them, if they still exist. Do you know who made them or where I can find them? I looked on the DLS, but I couldn't find anything that looked like these. Any help would be much appreciated.

This looks like some grassy-covered track by Samplaire ....

Look for these here:

<kuid:132952:100597> SAM Track - overgrown v2
<kuid:132952:100673> SAM Track - overgrown v2 LOW
<kuid:132952:100674> SAM Track - overgrown v2
<kuid:132952:100675> SAM Track - overgrown v2 LOW

Rusty ones too:

<kuid:132952:101272> SAM T Track - overgrown
<kuid:132952:101280> SAM T Track - overgrown RUSTY
<kuid:132952:100512> SAM Track - overgrown v1 LOW
<kuid:132952:100572> SAM Track - overgrown v1 RUSTY LOW

And so many other good tracks...

Is that SAM Track from JR? It would be better to give the links.

I just checked out Samplaire's tracks, and they do look very similar, though I'm not sure if they're the same (I did download them, because they look good). Those tracks either may not exist anymore, or I just don't know what I'm looking for. I'm hoping it's the latter, though.

Will this do?

Track is Jointed Rail's ......132# Jointed Rail Track Rail Only.

All I did was lay a grass texture to put the track on and add some basic hedges, PG trees and some backgrounds, all on standard TANE install.

*snip*

I have to admit, that does look good, but I am now considering just reskinning one of the default tracks to get the effect I'm looking for, because i'm thinking that the tracks in the picture are probably so old that they don't exist anymore.

Well done it looks very convincing.

I've done similar with cobblestones, gravel, and dirt on old YARN roads with no traffic. The roads are thick enough so the rails stick up just enough out of the surface to look like they're embedded in the surface. I set the carrate to 0 for no traffic.

Retexturing track is tricky due to how it's made with the UVW mapping and normal maps.

Try an old YARN road textured with grass. You'll find it easier.
