Spotter...
Over the years I've had a lot of fun modifying, adding too & extending the 2006 version of Murchison 2. I'm sure a lot of fellow Trainzers have also modified, added too & extended the layout as well.

If so, please show us some of your modified/extended Murchison 2 layout screenshots.

Please note; I'm not trying to take away any of the original creator Michael (sirgibby) thunder here. (He put in 5000+ hours into the layout). 99.999% of all the hard layout work was done by the original Murchison 2 creator. I've just done the easy part by adding too & extending it...

My praise & thanks also goes out to all the contents creators that have made their really neat contents available on the DLS & third party sites, (that I have used & added to the layout)...

Cheers, Mac...

No. The original creator is working hard (as we speak) to bring the Murchison 2 layout/route up to Tane standards. Rather than just correct the Tane errors, he (sirgibby) is updating a lot of the content and also adding new Tane content as well. I call it, "giving it a polish")...

Unfortunately I can't give you a "time frame" as to when he'll have it completed. I know he trying to get it sorted a.s.a.p, but he's also juggling a full-time business and helping to raise a young family...

Michael's a pretty meticulous sort of a guy, so I'm expecting it to be a really great layout/route when he's finished. (Right up there & well worth the wait)!!!

Cheers, Mac...

Hi Mac, just a little off topic but quick question here, which version of Trainz and Murch are you running? I have Murch but the tracks are TS10-esque "high poly" track which don't match the switches. Yours however has the classic chunky mesh track which do and I'd like to have that. Anyhoo, this is impressive stuff you've done to an already top notch route. Mad respect for the work Mike does.

Hi Nicky,

2006 version. I started extending & adding too the 2006 version of Murchison 2 way back in 2006. (Started off by joining up all the 3ft NG). When the 2009/2010 version came out, I didn't have any luck merging my "modified" 2006 version into the 2009/2010 version, so I just stuck with "modding" the 2006 version only.

I think the 2009/2010 & 2012 version/s of Murchison 2 are much better than the 2006 version. (Particularly when you take into consideration the 29 extra sessions that are in the 2009-2012 version/s). Looking forward to the TANE version of Murchison 2 when Michael's (sirgibby) finishes it...

Blue, thankyou for your kind comments Sir... (sirgibby deserves all the credit for building this incredible layout in the first place). I've just done the easy part...

Cheers, Mac...
