Benchmarking your PC... let's see what you got!

I found this completely safe and free site for benchmarking your PC. Very simple download file and run it on your PC. The results are interesting. I would think the more people that try it, and compare on here, maybe we can get a better clue as to what people really can expect from their systems.

The site is http://www.userbenchmark.com

Download link is http://www.userbenchmark.com/resources/download/UserBenchMark.exe

I've run it a few times and this seems my best results:

UserBenchmarks: Game 92%, Desk 94%, Work 71%

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K - 107.4%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 980 - 96.2%
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 1TB - 93.3%
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1866 C10 4x8GB - 71.3%
MBD: Asus Z97-A-USB31

I'd like to see others with their systems, primarily guys that run T:ANE or want to run T:ANE, see how we all are doing when compared.

I was going to try 3DMark, but that isn't as simple, and the newest version is just GPU (graphics cards) anyways...

So, come on guys, let's see what you got!

After a small update:

UserBenchmarks: Game 112%, Desk 93%, Work 73%
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K - 98.6%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 - 131.2%
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 1TB - 106.3%
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1866 C10 4x8GB - 69.5%
MBD: Asus Z97-A-USB31

Bit of harmless fun. It simply depends on what baseline the results are being compared to which doesn't seem to be specified, never taken much stock on Benchmarking programs being entirely accurate.

Did find out that GPU wise 100% = GTX980. That bit of info came up on the report for third PC on the GTX680 results, it's an AMD Phenom 1090T X6 not bothering to post as I ripped all the good disks etc out of it and it's now basically a backup storage system using older drives a mix of SATA and IDE, came out as average for gaming though.

ok, I ran mine, no real surprise

I think mine ranks as the worst, mind you, I haven't really touched my rig in about 5 years (did put in a new SSD this spring though). My RAM is actually Mushkin, but I think everything else is right.

Very interesting site. I guess that explains why, what I thought was a pretty good system, is in fact not all that great after all. Up to now I was getting pretty disillusioned with T:ANE and what I perceived to be it's poor performance vs. TS12, when in fact it looks like it is my PC that is to blame.

UserBenchmarks: Game 21%, Desk 45%, Work 19%

CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 - 66.7%
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6770 - 15.4%
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB - 46.4%
RAM: Samsung M378B2873FH0-CH9 4x1GB - 51.3%
MBD: Dell XPS 8300

Quick Specs: I am running Windows 10 Home 64-bit (upgrade from Win 7 Home Premium). My CPU speed is 3.1GHz and I have 4GB RAM. TS12 Build is 61388, T:ANE Build is 82718. DX9 is installed per instructions elsewhere in this forum.

In some testing I did recently on my rather large D&H route, the same scene renders in TS12 at 24.4FPS and in T:ANE at 15.8FPS. And that's after a lot of fiddling with various T:ANE settings so as to create what I believed to be a 'fair' comparison - out of the box it was in the mid single digits.

Am I wrong to think that T:ANE should perform better than TS12, even with the hardware I have?

In any case, many thanks to the OP for this useful link.

Regards,
-Mike
