Scitimar - Please be sure to re-run your UserBenchmarks again when your new 970 EVOs arrive and post them here. That will vastly improve your SSD score!

Think yours is the first Ryzen Threadripper result we've seen here.
How are you finding the thermals - and are you running that on air or liquid cooling?

Don't know how accurate these results are.The first BM last night with a game running in the background on SSD's
The second this morning just after startup only system stuff running
looks like the SSD's score higher when under load
Every time i've run them I get a different result even with the PC in the same state

big_b - Your benchmark score whilst running other programs or tasks in the background will necessarily be compromised and basically invalid.
Quick question for you - Are you running Rapid Mode for your Samsung 850 Pro?
If not, get the Magician software and apply Rapid Mode to give a real boost to your SSD scores.

Thermals are quite good, I'm using an Enermax 360 TR AIO till these http://www.performance-pcs.com/swift...mbo-200mm.html are back in stock and I can build a proper dual 480 loop. Currently, ambient in Brisbane is 22c and idle temp @4ghz is 26c-27c. The max I've had when running a 1 hour render is 58c @4ghz 100% load on all cores. I'll post those Samsung results at a later date.

    Cool (Heh!) - Thanks.
A RAID array with those 2Tb 970's will be awesome, I reckon.
I take it that you've got some regular heavy-duty workloads to justify this seriously potent rig?

    Hp-pavilion p6133f.
    Userbenchmarks: Game 12%,desktop 25%,workstation 16%.
    CPU: Intel Pentium E5200-21.3%.
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 710 2GB-4.7%.
    Drive: WD Green 1TB (2009)-28.7%.
    RAM: Unknown 4x2GB-15.7%.

This will probably struggle to run TRS2019 on low settings...

It would be better if I had a better GPU in it.

I do have my doubts about the bench marking program though. It said my computer was only good for email and running basic programs and yet I use it for graphics work without any problems. Seems a bit odd to me.

I posted my desktop results back in post #50. I subsequently purchased a laptop for mobility, and for route testing. I haven't seen any results for a 1050ti card in the thread so far, so these may be of interest to someone contemplating that as an option.

    UserBenchmarks: Game 41%, Desk 65%, Work 37%
    CPU: Intel Core i5-7300HQ - 72%
    GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050-Ti (Mobile) - 39.4%
    SSD: Samsung PM871b M.2 2280 256GB - 102.1%
    SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB - 98.4%
    RAM: Hynix HMA81GS6AFR8N-UH 1x8GB - 41.5%
MBD: Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming

The gaming result of 41% compares poorly with my i7-7700/GTX 1070 desktop result of 94%. I have to say, that based on my observations running TANE SP2 on both configs I would not have expected such a big difference. TANE runs well on the laptop with only slight tweaks to the performance settings.

Somebody please help me with the specs of this Windows10 desktop PC: http://serverpartswarehouse.com/hp-p...yABEgI90PD_BwE

An old guy in the neighborhood lost his wife in July, and needs a house clean out liquidation crew, as his wife bought over the years, many cookers, ovens, ice snow cone makers ... Everything is brand new, or open box, or parts of which scattered about in 3 rooms ... 2 katz (look very hungry and might have fleas) ... this guy just broke my heart, I feel for him

He said outright that he had a brand new Windows10 64bit PC in box, never used HP Pavillion Slimline 450-a120 for $200 ... It was the only thing in the house worth any money, so I didn't even haggle with him and gave him $200 cash

Not that it will even run TRS2006 on an ADM Radeon R2 graphics chip ... did I get ripped of for $200, for a home office PC ?

I see a high price of $800 (LOL ... No Way), and a low price of $89 to $139 on the innerwebs, Walmart in 2015 $239

I suggest you run the benchmark utility and post your results for the record (that's what this thread is about). Just looking at the link specs in your post, I would not expect anything outrageous . But it may well run TANE OK (sort of) at low settings (assuming it comes with 64 bit OS), and would definitely make a decent home office PC (word processing, spreadsheets and web browsing are not very demanding). And your money has gone to a good cause!

Not everyone is in the market for the latest and greatest, and your results and subjective experience may be of value to others.

I would think that http://serverpartswarehouse.com/hp-p...yABEgI90PD_BwE even though it is Windows10, and is 64 bit, 1.4GHz, 4GB RAM, it would definitely not run T:ANE. nor even TRS2006, nor Transdem, unless I put in two 8GB RAM chip strips at $49 each

The $802.77 price makes me LOL ... as $89 to $139 on the innerwebs, and new at Walmart it was $239 in 2015
