NEOKLAI.ORG RANSOMWARE ATTACHED

Went to Neoklai.org to search for dependencies for Crimea2013 and noticed a pop under page loading, a ransomware page was attempting to lock down my browser (google chrome) which I was able to close (ctrl-alt-delete) before any damage was done, fortunately. Just thought I had better alert everyone to this before anyone loses control of their hard drive. The hijack started when I attempted to close the advertisment for hosting services.

Usually when a page comes up saying that they are locking your PC by the FBI until you pay up ... You can go into task manager and force a shutdown of your browser, and shut down your PC, and restart, and run virus scans

No nothing to do with FBI on this one, looked like a serious attempt at hijack and ransom.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Graeme. Something similar happened to me on the same website about 3 weeks ago. Multiple advertising browsers were opening so rapidly, I couldn't close them out. Quick thinking with Ctrl+Alt+Del /Total shutdown / followed by a full virus scan. Fortunately, my CPU was saved.
