Hi everyone,
Can someone please give me a recap on how to take screenshots of my layouts please.? I'm operating Trainz 2004 still, but I can't remember how to take them.
Any help or advice will be appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi, The way I do it is. Click the pause button, top left of screen, then press F5, to clear all commandlines etc, then press printscreen. when finished press F5 again and click the pause button again. everything will then continue where you left off.

Once you hit Print Screen, the picture will be in the Screenshots folder in your TRS2004 Directory. it will be a tga file. You will need an image editing program other than Paint to open it and to convert it to a jpeg if you want to post it.

Download Irfanview from the internet and it will convert them to jpg then you can post then on the forum screenshots have a good day "weejock"

to get a bigger view in trs2006 press ALT + u to go into fly mode and
ALT + y to go into walk mode.

Another great way to take screen shots, videos and also display frame rates in Trainz, is to install FRAPS. It's a great utility. . You can get it here: http://www.fraps.com

A better utility to use for Videos is Game Cam, 100% better then fraps, no fps loss at all, unlike FRAPS that brings the game to a crawl, you can also use it to take screenshots and a few other things
