Highland Valley Custom Locomotives (56k warning)

I'm bringin this thread back from the dead. The Highland Valley Freight & Tourist Railroad needs its own locomotives. I have a few designs I have planned out as well as a basic paint scheme.



The locomotives on the top and bottom are the same locomotives. The one on top is the as-built version. The one on the bottom is the second phase.

The second locomotive is a basic switcher with a RC box on the back.

The third locomotive is just used to demonstrate my idea for the HVF&TRR's paintscheme.

Thanks to the Railroad Paint Shop for the locomotives.

any content creator who wants to pick up on this project is welcome.

ever heard of http://www.freewebs.com/sblocomotives/ ? they do some good 3d models. You should do a site like that!

The 1st and 3rd are good but the 2nd and 4th are ugly as heck

They probably look "ugly as heck" because othey are only the sides.

great locos, wish i had a set gor my UP railway or to run on hillvalley

Just wondering, why does loco No.2 have a weird looking Bo-Co wheel arrangement?

There's more weight at the back (surprisingly), so the loco needs an extra axle to support it. Probably because of the RC box and the GE style engine fans.

I'll try and get front, back, and top views later. So if anyone wants to try and master these GEMDs, feel free.
