Trains are an inherently risky proposition. Yes, we've come a long way since loose coupled trains but regardless, they are still the heaviest things on earth that can move at such high speeds. When things go wrong, they go very wrong. This week's theme is Danger. I'd just assumed that it was doing 40-50mph and the line was set going into the siding, which at this angle looks far too sharp to take at high speed. :hehe:
 
On a low-visibility winter evening, some wandering deer ended up in front of one of Pennsy's Metroliner 100 MPH test runs.
