adding Carz to Traffic Region

Hi Ron and glad you got it installed. I have seen vehicles marked as "traffic" and you should not take that to mean a lot, based on what you are doing. You still need to check the cars configs and add the 2 lines I included in the "read-me" if they have not been added already.

Hi Ron
Looks like you have been busy and you have managed to get it all working to some degree. Without going over the list with you I could make a couple of pointers. The Land rovers were a problem and I know about them. There should be a mesh library for these that you need to download/modify to get them working. The Hillman Minx and Triumph Herald are a problem and I think some of these vehicles need to be towed away for scrap. They just do not adapt properly. As I said in the read-me... Check out Jay Holland for some good trucks and buses with plenty of good cars as well.

Let me know how you are getting on. Sounds like you have got a grip of it so far.

Hi Ron and Doug,

I have a few that work in TS10 onwards. Look under my user ID 329364 and under assets starting with "carz"; my older ones for TRS2004 were headed with "vehicle",, I see you have already found some of those. The ones with lights are scripted and are fairly unfriendly in later versions.

The TS10 ones may have lights but the night effect was in the game code for those.

Hi peter and thanks for the additional info. It is a bit of the old story I think where we progress through the trainz variants and some things work and some do not. Something that should not work -to much delight and surprise - does!. Something that ought to work will not play the game at all. Such is Trainz.

It is also worth having a look at the work by Lothar Hake. I have had a chat with him and he is going release a lot of his older static vehicles as road traffic.

most of your Carz stuff wont work in my 2010EE version
i think i have all of yours in that will work in traffic
i would have loved the police morris as traffic, but it refuses to show. no matter what i try.
thank you for making so much early stuff which i can use in my early route
i am trying to keep everything before 1960 to give a feel of the era

you RM55 with 2 trailing cars looks really good running from Dugandan back to ipswich
you will get to see it when i release it as a trainspotter video. it will track the rm all the way from the sidelines

i haven't tried Lothars kuid on the black dls as yet
just not enough time

i found a dozen areas on the route where i have forgotten to place fields.
i only had markers there to say what it should be

not sure if the program lost it or if i never done it, but doing it now

sofar i only did the 200 class railmotor as a beat test.
will release another soon, after i fix a few things which have shown up when in the cab on the run

Hi Ron. If you could do me a favour when you have 5 mins. The vehicles that are "erratic"..could you take one of them and knock out the height-range from the kuid and try again please?

I would be interested to see if we can nail that down somehow. Also.. Check for "Kemplen" on the DLS. A lot of 60's stuff there for you.
