The Himalayan tea train that's running out of steam

Ah the DHR as modelled in Trainz......
Was a report on the BBC World service a couple of days ago more or less the same.

The line was actually cut in half by a massive landslide, nothing to do with a suicide. Full info on the line including pictures of the landslide http://dhrs.org/page32.html also was an arson attack on one of the stations.

Main site here http://dhrs.org/ worth a look for any Narrow Gauge fans.

Would be a shame if the line closed. From reading various sources it seems the Indian Government and rail authority are pretty much intent on eliminating both narrow gauge and metre gauge from the network - either by conversion to broad gauge or just closing the route in question.

When first released I actually managed to drive the excellent Trainz DHR from end to end, albeit downhill. Time to dust it off again, maybe even see if it works in TANE!

Be very embarrassing for India if it did close as it's a listed World Heritage site, along with the other two remaining 2ft Indian NG lines

Vern yes it does work in TANE trees are a bit wierd but it is model you need to replace a short bit of track then find some locos that work most rolling stock is ok Iam enjoying very much its better than in T12 steammy
