I don't know the reporting marks on the particular car in the shot, but they are usually for Rocks/Ballast, the difference between these and coal hoppers are length and the ends of the car. Chances are that's a CSX or VULX hopper though.
Yep, that's the effect, never would have done it if my other pictures aren't trapped on my camera until I get an external hard drive. Too many pictures, not enough space. She's on her way now, so I should be rolling again soon. I don't think it would have worked without that fence in the foreground though. To the people who built that fence: I thank you very much! :hehe:

Recently I visited the infamous Cooperstown Junction GG-1's, which have been sitting on this old wye for years waiting to be moved to a museum. Recently both of the locomotives were moved to the opposite side of Route 7, away from the former D&H mainline recently acquired by Norfolk Southern. Hopefully these engines will find a home soon before the upstate NY winters take too much of a toll on them.
