New PC ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) but What about my CDP's?

Hi everyone, I am back.

I am planning to buy a new PC So I can play Trainz and many other games I have but I cant play them due to my PC poor Hardware.

But I have a question, Is there any way to do a backup of all the files (.cdp) that I have Installed? I know that some of theme are Still on some webpages but the majority of them come from pages that Already doesnt exist (http://trainzpa.weebly.com or http://railpainttrainz.webs.com/)
Those pages and their Content are gone, thats why its so Important for me.

I dont care If I have to use an external HDD or Hundreds of Flash Drive Usb's.

I just want to save my content and If I do I will try to re-upload it for everyone.

Once you open a CDP that is in your PC Downloads folder, and install it into Trainz ... the asset is not in CDP form ... as it is contained in you userdata folder.

However the original CDP still exists in your PC Downloads folder.

So you would back up you userdata folder, and all the CDPs in your PC Downloads folder ... and transfer them into your new PC's Trainz instalation, and PC Downloads folder.

In CM, you can save assets, and routes, one by one, as named CDP's, and send them to your PC Downloads folder.

I have several external hard drives that I store all my saved CDP's on, for safekeeping.

As in TRS2006 the Local file contains all your assets and routes, in hash file form, and my Local file is huge ... 45GB ... and would take many hours to save. And a DVD+RW, DVD+R, or a flash drive would not be big enough to store all your thousands of assets.

A 1TB, 2TB, or 3TB external hard drive is cheap, @ $80 to $140 (and much cheaper online through mail order suppliers).

With your specs, looks as if you are purchasing a new hard drive.

The process will be fairly simple to backup the content.
After your parts are installed and software is completed, take out your existing hard drive you are using. Connect to the new install motherboard, and transfer the data of your User Data Folder from existing drive to new drive Trainz Installation.
Just make sure you do not boot from the slave drive (existing drive) which can be handled in the BIOS.
Mind you, you must have the proper connection available on the new motherboard to accept the old drive (stating this if old drive is an IDE).

May I recommend that you invest more funds into a bigger case. You will thank me later.

Ok Thanks to "cascaderailroad" and "mcguirel", now I know how to save my content!
I will buy an External HDD or maybe use 1 Flash drive USB because I only have less that 6gb of Installed Content.
