I just added the codes from my backup and nothing shows, still. Any more ideas?
I'm confused, you indicated "There's nothing there" which means there was no file to add codes to. I expected you would copy the entire file from the backup because nothing was there (no file) on the working copy.

So "the code" you copied into driverdefaults.txt is just that section I quoted below from my system (but from your backup)?

Those codes are from November 2013, it worked fine then.
Here is your problem, this line:
1347179348 "1155.00,589.00,1815.00,1098.00"
That is the object properties box we are having trouble with. You see those high numbers 1155 & 1815? Looks like they are off screen.
I placed those into my system which I run at 1900 x 1080 and only the upper left of the properties box was visible for that depot.
I suggest replacing that with this and see if it is onscreen for you:

That worked, I'm running 1360x768 which is the highest res for my monitor, but it was just visible in the bottom right corner so I could drag it up!

Whew, great news. Thank p-dehnert who came up with the right problem to chase down.
