USA Pics (electric)

In the background is <kuid:520526:1223> Freelance GE Traction Locomotive by pweiser with a standard flatcar. In the foreground are CTA 6000 cars by sniper297. All are on the DLS.

Oh, that's nice Nathan. What route is that?

Meanwhile, on jrfolco's new Mega route there is about 21 miles of PRR electric running from the Philadelphia portals in the north to the Washington, DC portal in the south.

Northbound

While there are 21 miles of double track with several crossovers there are no electrified sidings or industries. The route does pass the big PRR Eastwood yard and a Baltimore passenger station but there isn't any electrification in either. It should be easy to add a couple of electrified tracks in the yard for dropping freight but while there is a crossover north of the station there isn't one to the south so routing passenger trains doesn't seem possible. A fun little section of a huge route. :D

LOL, I wanted to link to the NEC route from the Baltimore Cumberland Mega route, unfortunately I got the directions wrong and brought the freight train from the wrong end.

Oh well now I know where I want to put the portal. :D

At the moment, it's an unfinished fictional route roughly representing a typical stretch of NEC mainline. At the moment it's only really 'half a route' as it ends in a fiddle yard and some portals. Progress hasn't been great but I can send you the route as it stands...love the 40s NEC action.

'Gotham' station. Originally I set out to replicate NY Penn but it proved way too complicated.

A soon to be retired EP-3 and a GP9. The EP-3 has been cleaned up for it's last runs...

In the city...

The coaches by the way are reskinned from some VIA Rail Budds on the DLS and very nice they are too. I'll see if I can get permission to release them, I've also done a PC B60 baggage and I'm eying up PWeiser's FL9...but then again I'm not sure what demand is like, no-one seems to be as Penn Central-obsessed as me!

On a side note, a HO Bachmann PC GG1 arrived today, complete with two Walthers passenger cars :udrool: very much an early Christmas present from me.

@normhart, ref NYC-> PC... don't quite know what to say, so I'll just say, "Great screen shots."

Thanks but... what? I found plenty of pictures of this locomotive in Penn Central dress, mostly 4715 but a couple of others as well. I also found pictures that seemed to show that the 4715 was fitted with a pantograph prior to IRM acquiring her.

Anyway, thanks for the loco! (seems to me I saw a repaint of your NH EF-4 as a PC locomotive too somewhere, apparently PRR had them also, E33 I think.)

Edit:

BTW does anyone know of any more New Haven catenary? I've got;
