Google Maps Railfanning Section (READ RULES!)

Not locomotives, but still interesting; these shots were taken on December 2021 at Gundih station where a string of freight cars (mainly ballast hoppers) were parked at eastern side of station building.

Here is a string of Romanian-built ballast hoppers (introduced in 1984) waiting for their turn to be loaded with ballast stone before dispatched to locations that requires track maintenance. As they belongs to different divisions of Indonesian Railways, they had identification color painted on one end of the car.

The foremost gondola car is YYR-246 (renumbered as GB 30 64 02 due to somewhat strange numbering standardization issued by Ministry of Transportation), last used by quartz transporter train between Bojonegoro and Karangtalun stations. Actually this gondola car is also coupled with YYR-435 (GB 30 64 29) and an unidentified TTW car (gondola car equipped with sliding roof).

Moving further to the south, YYR-313 (GB 30 64 10) and GW-151170 (2-axle boxcar with air brake) are parked at the siding, followed by GGR-2427 (4-axle bogie boxcar with hand brake) still equipped with Norwegian coupler (former Staatsspoorwegen a.k.a SS), and lastly another YYR car (possibly YYR-297 a.k.a GB 30 64 08). It seems GGR-2427 was used as an emergency rescue car in case of derailment or head-on collision before eventually removed from service sometimes in early 2000s (or in late 1990s?).

Wow! Six or so trucks and (looks like at least) one car. Hope the folks in that car were OK. I wonder if it was something like fog rolling through?

One from Czechia :

https://goo.gl/maps/1DjDtYV3QvQ58jrbA

This is one of Stadler Regio-Shuttle RS1 owned by České dráhy (ČD) and classified as 840 series diesel railcar (official nickname of both 840 and 841 series of the same family : "RegioSpider") seen here climbing toward Desná station on its way to Harrachov station (near the border with Poland). The unit number itself is 840 006-1, and luckily it was not censored at all by Google's number plate censor system (unlike locomotives in Indonesia that tends to have its number censored by Google due to usage of "white on black" number plate).

March 2023 shot of Tarahan station in Lampung with a special guest : an unidentified CC202 (EMD G26MC-2U) painted by Indonesian Railways back into its original cream and dark green with "Wahana Daya Pertiwi" emblem in mid-2021. Out of 47 units of CC202 in service today, only 3 units that received this revival color scheme, which are CC202 09, CC202 17 and CC202 46 (in reality only CC202 09 and CC202 16 that were introduced in that color scheme; CC202 46 was introduced in 2008 with the later red and blue color of Perumka era), meaning that the cream and dark green CC202 in both shots would be one of the 3 revival units.

A friend of mine from Wyoming used to tell a joke: How many North Dakotans does it take to eat a rabbit? Two, one to eat the rabbit and one to watch for cars.
