Nice find!

Gotta love Google Maps, even when it's wrong! ;) That NS train in the pic is actually on former NYC trackage in Alloy, West Virginia, which is across the Kanawha River, opposite Mt. Carbon, WV, which is where you'll find CSX (formerly C&O) trackage. And Alloy is on Rt. 60, not the Midland Trail. :)

I thought this was really cool. You can explore the property a bit and see what the Nevada State Railroad Museum has up close with out being there.

Heck yea-as, it's extremely cool!

I assume this was mapped using "Google Trekker"...?

Google has some info about this online. They'll apparently will loan out the equipment needed to collect the imagery. I'd be wonderful if rail museums and historical organizations could use it to map out a walking tour of their train collections.
