Texture error for RGS #20 Frame

The reason I ask is so I know where I can sort a copy out, as I only have access to the one version of the software.

I am happy to provide version 1.23.

It's one that uses trainzmeshimporter.exe to build the IM, which means that it can possibly mess up INFL chunk animations as we have already discussed.

If the community members are happy to accept that risk, then so be it.

I will need to amend the installer to get it to work for Win 7 and 8. Also it comes with an old version of the TrainzMeshImporter.exe which I won't update in case there is an unforseen problem.

I would appreciate it if anyone knows how to fix those problems

Without looking at the assets in ages, I can't remember what the fix was but I will say a couple of things here about the errors.

First of all ignore the warnings. They are just that, warnings and won't cause problems with the models.

The errors are referring to a missing shadow mesh. You need to ensure the shadow mesh exists. When you open up the asset for editing, use the open in explorer option in Content Manager, ignore AssetX for now.

On some assets, the shadow_mesh_whatever_it's_called.pm might be in the wrong folder such as the top folder and not the shadow folder. If this is the case, simply move the file to the proper place and you'll be done with the repair.

The other two scenarios are the file is named incorrectly since it was copied from another similar asset and not renamed. In this case rename the shadow_mesh.im to the name mentioned in the error message. Done, close folder and submit/commit.

And finally this is where PEV's Quick Shadows utility comes in. Use that to create a shadow, you can specify whether it's a PM or IM. I recommend using IM files, but that will also require updating the main mesh as well. You can however much more easily use a pm file and be done with it.

The shadow will be called shadow.im or shadow.pm. Simply rename that to name mentioned in the error message. Close the folders and submit.

In all cases, you need to submit the asset and close any folders as well. If this fixes the asset, it'll appear as modified and turn black, else it'll remain red and you'll have to check your work.
