jackyamstel, thank you for your Compliment :)

Nice Greetings

Epo:)

Good shots Epo. I like the mountain screens a lot.

Pierre, my computer is 6 years old so it's almost time for a new one. I got the best I could when I learned about Trainz in 2011. I wish I had discovered it a lot sooner.

This is west of Allan, a young boy on his raft. Reminds me of the rafting I did on sloughs as a boy, catching frogs, falling in, the mother who was not impressed after coming home with smelly wet clothes - the good old days!
Cheers, Jack

Great pictures all!

Jack: Should you plan a new computer, my suggestions are:
- A 512 or 520 G Byte SSD. My TANE (Build 84204) takes 170 of a 240 Gbyte SSD and I have to constantly prune because above 190 - 200 things go sideways.
- Don't spend less than $600 Cad on a video card. I have a GTX 670 and it's pathetic. (i'm replacing it soon with a GTX 1080)
- Note: I Drive with "all sliders to the right". I Edit with all sliders Low and Draw Distance = 3500m

- My CPU is an i7-3770k at 3.5 ghz. More than enough horse power. 16 Gbytes of ram.

My shot for today has a question:

Off in the distance (centre) are some houses. They are Cityscape Lo-Res splines. Are they adequate?

Thanks!
Cheers,
--Michael.

Hi Michael,
I'd say those houses look fine from the distance shown in your screen shot. Even from closer they likely look OK. I'll have to try those splines out on my own route to see how they look close up.

Regarding the computer I'm planning to get, I'm looking at an i7-7700 at 3.6 or 4.2 ghz with a GTX 1070. The 1070 is selling for $588 at the shop I deal with. Might have to see if they can get a 1080 and what that would be worth. I've got an i7-2600 at 3.4 ghz and could possibly just upgrade the video card but would prefer a new system. I'm running Trainz on a 167 gb SSD at present and it's around half full. I like driving with the draw distance set at 8 or 10 km but don't usually turn anything else up much. In surveyor it's set at 2500 meters. Anyway, thanks for the advice Michael. Have a good one!

Cheers, Jack

I got an i5-3570K and it became the bottle neck when I upgraded my card for a GTX 970, but I would have had to changed my motherboard to get a better cpu so.....money talks.

Nice shot Jack, Escd and Froobie.

One of the assets is: <kuid2:33404:5068360:2> Eastside-Neighborhood-Spline-1
There are many Buildings, splines etc., from dmdrake

Cheers,

Michael, possibly you could explain those leaning houses by saying there was an earthquake. Using the splines sure makes building a neighbourhood easy but whether to use them or not is up to you I guess.

Very nice shots from you again kingstonflyer. We're seeing a fair number of shots featuring CP power lately.

Cheers, Jack

Speaking of nice mood shots, Ken, that's a good one from yourself.

Interesting to see and compare those two shots Norm.
