WCRULEZ, good work there. I like the 15th anniversary patch on the 2100.

Michael, that Kettle Valley route looks like it will be great. Thanks for showing us how you're doing with it.

And Ken, I think it's all been said before but your screen shots are terrific!

VIA, I hope you post some updates of that bridge area when you get more done. Looks good!

Cheers, Jack

Beautiful shots from you, Ken, in posts #3325 & #3324. Looks like you're playing with the environmental settings in the last screens.

1000 miles of track should keep you busy for a while VIA! Keep posting some shots every now and then.

Cheers, Jack

re post #3326 jackyamstel

Hello Jack,
nice pond shot, any carp?

Yes your right, I always use environment settings (can be saved) and also "Show Post-Processing Settings" (that cannot be saved).

N3V Games are working on a solution to save P-P Settings when exiting the game.

Great shots Ken, Jack and all the rest of you.
For today, we have a special excursion train. It left the CPR mainline at Spence's Bridge and is on it's way to Midway.
The following shots were taken near McCulloch Station.

PS The lake is 1261 metres above sea level.

That's looking good Michael. Thanks for showing us these shots of the route.

I've gone west to just outside of Biggar for this shot. Progressive heading east has been slow lately so not much to show. I'm about half way between Young and Zelma at the moment. I started the route in Trainz 12, 4 baseboards to either side of the track. I upped that to 5 baseboards to either side and now I'm doing six so it's not going as quickly as before, not that it ever was very fast. Sometimes I wonder if I should make the map even wider since Tane's increased draw distance makes it fairly easy to see the map edges on this prairie route.
Cheers, Jack

As good as ever Jack, yea I see your point with the draw distance. TANE is amazing with the draw distance, and really captures depth really well for those who know how to use it! You are one of the finest at it!
Don't worry boys, I'm still around and plugging away, just got done with some serious overhaulage and dual tracking action for capacity purposes! Here's a couple shots for you to see the new gigs on the route!

Nice to see some of your excellent screen shots here again Chris. Thanks for the compliment but I think you exaggerate. I see a lot of great long draw distance shots in various threads all the time and there are some nice ones of your own here. Good job on the double track. I've been going back over old areas I did in Trainz 12, changing the baseboard grid from 10m to 5 m on the boards where there is track. Redoing the textures is a bit of a pain but embankments and such look a lot better. Have also been doing the road crossings properly as traffic driving through the train is a little less than realistic.

VIA, that's a good shot from you. Nice work there!

Cheers, Jack
