Many thanks, evilcrow. Sounds like it would be a challenge. Actually, it wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the number plate, which is brass, and appears to share the same numbers as the cab sides. Even with white cab numbers, you still want the plate to be brass. You're right about that, though, it's not so easy with newer, more complex models.

Best,
smyers

evilcrow, re “exceedingly fine vistas”. Thanks! Must acknowledge the influence of your compositions in some of my shots. :)

re post 4680: That's actually an edit of Beetlebrook from the DLS, slowly getting back into my K&P route. I had asked because I didn't recognize the tender with the gold outline as I use a different one for the coal burning Pacifics, so thanks Casey

re post 4681, thanks EC! The far right one is backing down into the station with an excursion train, passing it's sisters waiting on the ready tracsk to take their scheduled passengers down the line once the yard switcher finishes with the cars

Thanks Blue! Here's a few more shots....1071 and 2550 team up for a very special (rare) double header trip with the 'Holiday' consist (usually only used for Christmas trains or the Polar Express themed night)
