Real nice screenshots everybody!

I really like those derailment shots charlielima! Reminded of this little incident that happened a few weeks before I retired. And in case anyone wonders, no, I was not involved in any way.

Thanks Jackyamstel.
Glad you put the disclaimer in there about not being involved in the derail. One would have thought that retiring a few weeks after this incident...well, you know.:hehe:
One more before the gang cleans up the track.

You captured the derailment very well Claude. I like the shot of the hopper lying on its side and contents leaking out. Nicely done!

Here's an eastbound leaving Biggar.

Cheers, Jack

Eric and Jack! OUTSTANDING SHOTS! I really like the way the two of you and so many others make your screenshots look like photo shots.

A few years back, Engine 12 (which I am captain on) gets called to a fire underneath a CN locomotive on the main line out of Winnipeg. We meet the train at a crossing about a mile away and, sure enough, a traction motor on the second engine was on fire. The CN crew attempted to unload a couple of dry chem. extinguishers on it, but without luck. We pulled up and laid a 2 1/2 in hoseline to the locomotive and hit it with 75 psi of water and foam. After about 4 minutes, there was no more flame but still lots of acrid smelling smoke. Another 5 minutes of water and it was completely out. We packed up and left never knowing what they did to clear the railroad crossing.
The whole scene looked something like this...

Awesome shots Claude! I really enjoyed the info and pics there.

Great shots all. Keep 'em comin'!

Thanks for the compliment Claude. And speaking of shots looking like photos, when I looked at the first shot in your series it took a few seconds before I realized that it was a screen shot. Excellent job on those!! You really captured the feel of the incident in those shots. You're showing us another side to railroading other than dragging trains down the track.

Cheers, Jack

Thank you for the comments.
Good morning, Deane and Happy New Year!
The firefighters attacking the flames are from Coutumariee and are titled "Sapeur Pompier 3", <kuid2:201734:99000213:1>. These are French firefighters who wear those rounded type helmuts which you won't find here in Canada. I used your fire hose, <kuid2:68213:37020:1> and very sneakily connected it from the hose in the Sapeur asset to the firetruck.
Sadly, no developers have made any adequate North American (or Australian) firefighter people.
