Operational. Built by Altoona shops in 1928. PRR's premier business car, assigned to PRR presidents and furnished to US Presidents from Franklin D. Roosevelt through John F. Kennedy. Carried body of Senator Robert F. Kennedy from NYC to Washington DC in June 1968 funeral train on Penn Central.

between the E8s and his wonderfully restored 2 cars that he owns they are a great set to ride on. I've had the opportunity to ride the deadhead move for a certain excursion a group i belong to did in 2012. Deadhead ride down the NEC from Philly to DC, then 2 days later, DC to Philly. Was one of those things that you just sort of look back in awe of...

Bennett Levin has done a lot for preserving historical trains over the years. He and his Juniata Terminal Company have quite an investment in rolling stock. Think about all of the FRA mandates, 92 day inspections etc. just to allow them to run on main lines. Funny how a guy who was a public servant gets to have his own full scale model railroad?

Also, I think the previous post was wrong, Bobby Kennedy's train to DC was on GG1 4901 and 4903 that pulled the train into DC..

4903 is now at the new Museum in Frisco TX http://www.museumoftheamericanrailroad.org/
